I got a new book!
Out of all the classic pin up comic artists like Bill Wenzel, Bill Ward and Dan De Carlo, Jack Cole is my absolute favorite. His lines may not be as funny as some of the others but his drawings are so pretty!
He started out doing comic books in the late 30′s and invented the hero Plastic Man. In the 50′s he began working for Playboy -sadly he ended his career and life way too soon as he decided to commit suicide in 1958 only 43 years of age..
