Late Night
As I am soon to leave London after having lived here for a year, I thought a small movie about the city could be a fine farewell. Everything is filmed late at night and the film doesn’t have a specific narrative. It’s just shots.

London shots
I just found a few shots from London. Above you see my girlfriend Anna wondering whether it is worth it to queue up in the massive line for Natural History Museum. It wasn’t, so we went to V&A instead. That’s a lovely place.
Ye Olde England. I’m gonna miss you when I leave.
This is me. The reason my chins look a bit weird is because my mouth is full of good food. Hummus I think. And olives.
Around this time I had just purchased my new camera, so I was busy trying it. If Anna could speak through this photo, I’m sure she would say something like: “You have been looking at that camera for two hours straight. Now talk to me!”
People are insanely busy in London. This is Victoria Station. Adieu!

Funen
I spent the Easter in Denmark with my family in a rather rural area of Funen. Above you see some fish we later had for dinner. Below are some of the other photos I took.
Every age was represented. This is my grandmother. She went to Barcelona two days later and got her bag stolen. She’s normally very smart, but I suspect her naïvety made her an easy target. She doesn’t really care though, and has already booked another trip.
Here we see some grains.
And here some rope. This was close to where we bought the poor fish we later cooked and ate.
Even though this dog looks mad it was very nice and friendly. We were out walking and my family was yelling at me because I was walking so slow (I was talking pictures and talking to dogs), so unfortunately I had to leave the dog and catch up.
This is a church where some of us went to a service on Good Friday. As a curiosity I can mention that this is the church where the Danish film Adams Æbler was recorded some years ago. The church is located in Horne, which I think is a funny and somewhat perverse name for a town.
The inevitable afternoon entertainment of every family holiday.

Machine
As a part of an exam in one of my literature classes we were told to let one of the books inspire us to do a creative project. We could do whatever we wanted, so I decided to make a small film. This is the outcome. Read more about it here.

Love thy neighbourhood

My part of town is quite religious. From my apartment I can see both a baptist church and a small mosque. I like how the different religions promote their beliefs on banners and signs, far from the quiet and conventional Danish churches who are just white. And the best thing: Muslims, Jews and Christians get along just fine. No need to fight each other here.

Be good. Amen.

Back to London, back to reality
Finally back home in London. This afternoon I have been riding my bike in Fulham and Brompton, which is a quite rich and also very picturesque-in-that-classical-London-style part of town. I’m preparing for a small project that I will hopefully be able to show here on The Bistro one of the following days, but here are a few snaps I took: Read more…

The Thrustworthiness of Beards
Amazing graphical overview. My own facial hair is somewhere between Burt Reynolds and The Homeless Beard. How about you? (Click image to enlarge).

The joy of travelling
As everyone else I enjoy a bit of travelling once in a while. One of the things I really dig about going to other countries is the culinary experiences one is able to get. I just returned from Thailand and below are some pictures of some of the oddities I stumbled upon. Read more…
