I’ve been a huge Parra fan for years, so when finding these rare little glimpse into the everyday life of this artisté extraordinaire, it’s something I must share with you, dear readers.

Next level of music packaging
This is really dope! The new Matthew Dear album Black City is dropping in two weeks time, which in itself is brilliant news!
But this time, Matthew and his label Ghostly chose to do a little extra with the ‘packaging’. Instead of just doing the usual jewel case routine, they also chose the alternative, doing a limited edition Totem, cast in bonded aluminum. On the totem, a special code is inscriped which allows the owner to download and stream the album.
Here is a little beautiful video of the totem being born.

Portrait
Before you say anything I know I missed Sailor Sunday, I was too busy doing absolutely nothing! I went to visit my family and had a computer free weekend -ahh lovely… I’ll make it up to you on Sunday, I promise.
My daughter made a portrait of me.. I think this is the most accurate portrait ever made. Sorry ’bout the poor quality I just snapped a quick one with my iPhone…
The bulky cheek is also very accurate ’cause I just had a wisdom tooth removed and that’s pretty much what I look like right now…

Story Re-teller
We picked her up recently, she was hanging out in a backyard. We needed help to reach the Black Sea shore (repeat that 10 times out loud). But she turned out to have many more useful talents than, just, navigating us to a Romanian sea resort.
So our new best friend in the south, Sorina, is now making this drawing for us. This is just two scans out of the 9 papers it takes in the end. Soon you’ll get the chance to buy it from us in it’s entiry, and to meet her too – she’ll be witnessing the Distorted version of Copenhagen alongside the rest of our crew.
