Den Sorte Skole – Lektion #2
In May 2008 Den Sorte Skole released their second full-length endeavour “Lektion #2”. This 65 minute musical collage was created from more than 400 separate vinyl samples, ranging from the Spanish International Brigades, British soft porn soundtracks, and Turkish women’s liberation anthems to rap legends and doom boom from the deep eighties. From The Slums Of Kenya
Recently, I visited Africa for the first time in my life. I went to Nairobi, Kenya where I spent seven days to record young rappers and singers from East Africa’s largest slum Kibera. With only a handheld audio recorder, a pair of headphones and my camera, I went exploring in the extremely poor and even hostile area.
I met this young guy called Jahill that spends his days on the local radio station and has a crew called Jah Army. With him by my side, I met some other young vocalists and the recordings began.
I went back to Copenhagen with all the raw audio recordings, and in collaboration with some of Denmarks best Djs/Producers we created this mix for you to download and share. All this is an active move towards a better future for the youth in Kenya.

The HOBBY INDUSTRIES EP is going to be called “GALACTIC NECKBREAKS” and i just heard the vinyl test press – and it sounds hard as hell.
The PALMSOUT EP will be named “MYSTERIOUS” and has been pushed a bit forward – but thats because it will feature some amazing new stuff!! :) So look forward for that to drop too!
I am currently teaming up a lot with my fellow danesmen, KIDD and TOPGUNN – were just pumping out hits in my studio.. some for their own projects, and some for my own mixtape which will drop hopefully in August.
Also look out for MØ whom im beating up with my sound. Shes gonna release an amazing album soon with a lot of heavyweight producers!

Den Sorte Skole – Lektion #1
In 2006 Den Sorte Skole launched their first release/mixtape, “Lektion #1”, containing a 74 LP mix recorded on four turntables and three mixers. The overall idea was to bring together artists stretching from Neil Young and Janis Joplin over Company Flow to Afrika Bambaataa.
“Lektion # 1” was awarded “Best Danish Hip Hop album of 2006” by the leading Hip Hop magazine in Denmark, Rapspot.dk, and now you can get it in 320kbps for free right here
